An Unexpected Gift
An Unexpected Gift
Frankly, I just got this book only because it was an autographed copy(Ajay Kumar Pandey) but I guess this has been one of the best decision of my life. This book actually gave me goosebumps and also changed my thinking Process.
About the Book
This book is basically about Abhay who has lost his wife due to brain cancer he has his cute son Ayush he somehow manages his work and ayush together. But after a point of time he was unable to balance both perfectly then he decided to have a care taker for his son. His boss suggested him Sheetal. Sheetal joined as ayush's caretaker but she always used to hide her identity. The almost instant bond between her and Ayush was like a godsend to Abhay. But something still used to nag him about Sheetal. Later on he found out that she was Third gender and he abandoned her.
Sheetal always wanted to be a mother, she explained her situation to him , Later on he realized and bought her back and also asked ayush to call her Mom. Ayush and sheetal shared a very special bond now. Later on she was about to marry and shift Pune. She was almost broken from the thought of leaving ayush .She couldn't control her tears. She cried cried and cried. This was the time when Abhay gifted her an unexpected gift in the station when she was leaving for Pune . He gifted him Ayush with a letter in his pocket . Also Promised to shift to Pune soon.
My Experience/ Learnings.
- Not always blood relation is required to be a mother.
- Third gender is still not respected in this country,
- We need to understand that they to have feelings.
- Sometimes even the parents don't expect their child if they are gay/lesbain.
- Mother is the Purest relation in this universe.
- This book also shows that there are few people in this world who supports them.
- How can I forget the sacrifice of Abhay.
- Giving up is not an option when someone calls you mother.
- Abhay is definitely a Hero.
They are also Humans. Hence ,they do have feelings and emotions.
